Wagner, the first European composer! If the composer’s name sounds more German than the word "Germany", the artist, himself always in search of notoriety and success that he could not find within the borders of the German Empire, went into exile in his early years to find recognition... elsewhere. These new horizons, Wagner would seek them from London to Saint Petersburg, through Paris, Venice or Zurich, places that were as much living places as they were places of musical creation and artistic inspiration.
