SECTION VI – PLACES OF LIFE, PLACES OF CREATION

Wagner, the first European composer! If the name of the composer sounds more German than the word “Germany” itself, the artist, who strove tirelessly for the notoriety and success which he could not find within the borders of the German Empire, went into exile in his youth years to earn recognition… elsewhere. In his quest for new prospects, Wagner went  from London to Saint Petersburg, from Paris, to Venice and Zurich –, places to live, as much as places of musical creation and artistic inspiration.
